The styles of foam packaging materials are mainly EPS, XPS, PUR, PE and UF.

1. Molded polystyrene foam (EPS)

The self weight is low, and has certain compressive and tensile strength. It can help the plastering protective layer by itself strength. There is no need for pulling parts, which can avoid the formation of thermal bridge.

When the density of EPS board is 30 ~ 50kg / m3, the value of thermal conductivity is small; when the average temperature is 10 ℃ and the density is 20kg / m3, the thermal conductivity is 0.033 ~ 0.036w / (m · K); when the density is less than 15kg / m3, the thermal conductivity increases sharply with the decrease of density; EPS board with density of 15 ~ 22Kg / M3 is suitable for external insulation.


2. Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS)

(1) It has a unique micro closed cell honeycomb structure. Compared with EPS board, it has the characteristics of high density, high tightening function, low thermal conductivity, low water absorption and low water vapor permeability. XPS board can still adhere to its excellent thermal insulation function under long-term high humidity or water immersion environment. Among various commonly used thermal insulation materials, it can still maintain its thermal resistance retention after two years at 70% relative humidity More than 80% of the insulation data.

(2) Because XPS board has low water absorption for a long time, it is especially suitable for inverted roof and air conditioning duct.

(3) It also has good freeze-thaw resistance and good compression creep resistance.


3. Rigid polyurethane foam (PUR)

The operating temperature is high, generally up to 100 ℃. After adding temperature resistant auxiliary materials, the operating temperature can reach 120 ℃.


4. Polyethylene foam (PE)

Almost no water absorption and water vapor, long time in wet environment will not be dampened because thermal conductivity is constant, and soft foam, with good flexibility.


5. Phenolic foam (PF)

Various functions and prices are appropriate to polyurethane, but the tightening function is low; however, because its temperature resistance and fire protection function are far better than polyurethane, it is especially suitable for high-temperature pipelines and occasions with strict fire protection requirements.

Heat resistance and flame retardance are much better than polyurethane and other foam plastics. The temperature can be as high as 200 degrees C for a long time, and the intermittent temperature is 250 degrees high.
